The blend of ancient and modern on Ancient Tea Horse Road

After the official operation of the Weitong Secondary Road, it is only 90 minutes for people of Weixi county, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture to drive to Tongdian town, Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, and the time to Lijiang and Dali is only 3 and 3.5 hours separately.

Weitong Secondary Road

Qingfu is an ancient station located on the road from Dali to Tibet. In the past, it was called Qingkoutang and this name can still be seen in the chronicles of Weixi county nowadays. Because this station was very busy at that time, many bridges were built for the transportation demand.

People who visit Qingfu these days can find that the NO.12 bridge of Weitong Secondary Road and Longteng bridge of Qingkoutang can be captured in the same picture, which symbolizes a blend of ancient and modern.

NO.12 bridge and Longteng bridge are in the same photo.

With the founding of the People's Republic of China, more than 80% of the Lisu people in Qingkoutang transited directly from primitive society to socialist society. To celebrate the beginning of a new happy life, they renamed Qingkoutang to Qingfu.
